Hello my followers, and random viewers. Here is adventure number three! My mom and I went to the festival of reading, and I would definitely call that an adventure. We go there every year, and I'm glad that I could share it with all of you!
There is more to the festival of reading then just seminars, and books, and lectures and... Are you asleep yet? Well,. they actually have lots of booths full of new authors, old books and a certain Chad Jacobs who remembered me from last year. :DIt was a beautiful day out, and I almost didn't want to go inside to listen to a seminar. But.. we did.
In this picture you can see my inner creeper come out. Standing about 15 feet away from me was Senator Bob Graham. I didn't want to be weird and get up close and take a picture. So instead I back away, get close to a bush, zoom in as much as I could and -click!-. Not weird at all.
There were lots of people my mom's age and older in the seminar.. Not a lot of kids and teens. Kind of disappointing, but I suppose it's understandable. It was a Saturday after all.
We listened to Senator Bob Graham speak about his new fiction book. Super interesting! He's going to publish a book and call it fiction, with a made up plot and made up characters. But here's the thing. There will be some truth in it, and that truth will be concerning the events of September 11th. To publish such a book and refer to it as non fiction, it would be censored by the government. Scary, right? We tried to buy the book, but it sold out right away.
After the seminar, we walked around for a bit, got some chicken on a stick, and decided to head home.
Here's the view from where we parked. I don't know. I thought it was pretty. Bye guys! i'll see you on my next adventure!
