Georgia!

So, here's Adventure Number 2! Over the three day weekend my mom, my sister and I went to Georgia to visit my grandma, and other family. Here are some of the things we did while we were there!

Ahh, the fair. It was a beautiful day out--warm with a breeze--and we headed off to the fair with my Great Aunt Sheila and a friend, Becky.

My sister and Becky went on the majority of the rides while I watched in horror as they flipped upside down, swung around and got jerked left and right. Not my thing..

One thing I do enjoy doing at the fair is playing games. Luckily for me, there were quite a few stands with oppurtunities to win prizes. I'm not quite sure what posessed to me to try to win the stuffed cow you can see in the photo below, but whatever it was, it posessed me twice. Sadly, my aim isn't the best and I just couldn't knock over the blocks twice in a row.

After about 3 hours, and 10 aching feet, we decided to throw away our brochures, soggy french fries and sodas, and head home.

Once we left the fair, we went back to my Grandma's house. I was glad to be back for 3 reasons. 1, more time with my grandma. 2, Air Conditioning. And 3, the dogs!
We brought Babe with us so she could see her original owner and cousin, Fifi.

Fifi is a slightly...spazzy dog. She's easily scared, jumpy, nervous and excited at many things. On the occasion that she gets this way, she'll do one of many things. She'll either go lay down in the bathtub, stare at the oven, or howl. And these dogs aren't supposed to howl. But besides that, she's absolutely adorable. She loves to give kisses, go for walks, play with toys and hang with Babe.

See the resemblance?

In this photo, Fifi is jumping at the door. I was just taking a picture of her sitting there when all of a sudden she leapt into the air. I can't believe I got it on camera. Jumping is another one of the things she does when she's nervous. The noise the camera made scared her, and she jumped.

Ok, so onto trying new things. While we were at my Grandma's, we tried some new food. Like artichokes, and this Chicken Piccata. It was really good (not the artichoke) and I'm excited to have it more often! The picture makes it look a little.. volcanic or explosive looking. It's not fiery in anyway. Trust me.

Also, I thought I'd include a picture of the scenery in Georgia. It has loads of hills, and the trees were actually starting to change color. You can't tell so much in this picture, but this is the view from my Grandma's place.

Well that's all! Off to my next adventure...
